Flat Brimmer's

Amen. I feel like Tony Soprano when I see a hat on at the table.
Went to a 21 year old kids Catholic funeral last week. He was killed in an accident. A couple dudes walked in wearing flat brims, one backwards. There were several men wearing hats but entered the church with enough respect to remove them. I don't care what hat or cap you wear, I am not Catholic, but for crap sakes, show some respect. The world is bigger than you.

Irs funny that flat brimmers are considered posers these days. In the 80s all the older serious guys had flat brim trucker hats. Only the hillbillies curved their brims. 1000005166.jpg

The crown is telescope and the brim is slightly curved. Like James Garner in Maverick (or Mel Gibson for folks who don't watch old tv westerns)

Buckaroo culture arose in the Great Basin and California, some were adaptations specific to needs in the area, Amitas vs Chinks. Saddles. Others were style preferences. The hats and the boots are the most striking and arose out of the vaquero culture of spanish California.

Slick forks, tapederos, 60 foot reatas and the traditional outfits are all vaquero/ Californio influence. The horse and cattle work is usually gentler on both animals too.
