This is another particularly useful adaptation. It allows one to store small items (think cigarettes, left or right handed) in a place that is inconspicuous. It also funnels sound from speakers at a limp biscuit concert toward ones ears.

Went to a 21 year old kids Catholic funeral last week. He was killed in an accident. A couple dudes walked in wearing flat brims, one backwards. There were several men wearing hats but entered the church with enough respect to remove them. I don't care what hat or cap you wear, I am not Catholic, but for crap sakes, show some respect. The world is bigger than you.

Irs funny that flat brimmers are considered posers these days. In the 80s all the older serious guys had flat brim trucker hats. Only the hillbillies curved their brims.

Slick forks, tapederos, 60 foot reatas and the traditional outfits are all vaquero/ Californio influence. The horse and cattle work is usually gentler on both animals too.

I personally don't own one, but I would. I like a big wide brim hat. I don't reckon a buckaroo hat would catch wind any worse than what wear now. One of these days though I'm gonna shape my old silver belly to look like Festus's hat

I like a wide brim, 5 inches. Wider in the front than the back, but no taco shape, those are dumb. And a nice clean cattlemen’s crown.
