Fixed crawl problem- help a semi noob

One thing that might help with a higher anchor is using the fletch as a secondary anchor. This has helped my DL be more consistent and helped accuracy.

You don't HAVE to cant the bow....but to get the string in alignment you have to crank your head forward...put tension in your neck to keep your nose out of the way. (If you have a big schnoz like me, that will give you some neck stiffness after a long shooting session) I get a slightly more consistent DL with the bow vertical....but I do lose some arrows to the side more often if I lose form. I shoot both ways.

Some of the top shooters wear a piece of tape on the side of their nose when they shoot with a vertical bow- they really get the string up in there.

I shot 25y with a crawl yesterday- 1/2" was dead on at 25. No affect to the tune....arrows flew good but I didn't confirm with a bare shaft. My current point on is 35y. My old PO before I raised my anchor was 46y.....which did help on longer shots.

I set a brass nock for a 3/4” fixed crawl today and then raised my anchor as well. I didn’t shoot past 20 yards, but I’m thinking my new PO will be somewhere near 35 yards, I’ll find out soon enough. I can live with the gaps this gave me at closer ranges, and the new anchor will take longer to get accustomed to than the gaps.

I’m thinking my secondary point of reference for the new anchor will be the string on my nose, but man it’s weird anchoring differently after shooting the same one for 2.5 years haha

You may already be doing this but indexing your broadhead to where a blade is straight up at full draw and at whatever cant you have helps with that gap. I have a brass nock at around 3/4 for my fixed crawl and a Vpa 1 1/8” three blade gives me a very good reference. I know at 15 and under out that tip right under the heart. 20 is right at mid blade. 25 is point on.

I also tied a soft nock a little further down, maybe another 3/4”. That put my point on at 13. That’s for Turkey hunting out of a blind where I know my target is going to be close and very small.
