Hey folks I live in northern Idaho and I’m entertaining driving up to Canada to go fishing. Trout, pike, macs, or bulls I don’t care. Any advice on where to go?

Cutts and Bulls in East Kootenays, Gerrard Bows in Chilcotin, good Pike means a drive north of Prince George (all of this if staying in BC). Read the regulationss very carefully, as there are some closures based on geography and outright closures on some species.

Truth be told, there isn't a Province in Canada that doesn't have great fishing of one type or another. You could spend your whole life with a line out and never cover all of the best of it.

Not yet.

I usually drive up to N Alberta/ Saskatchuwan area. Lots of lakes up there. I tow my boat up or can rent boats at resorts/camps up there. Look at a map of Edmonton. Go NE of there and over into neighboring province. Cold Lake, Dore, Lake Athabasco etc for big pike, walleye Macs

Good trout fishing in lakes north of Kamloops. As mentioned SE BC. Around crows nest. Bow River is really good to float.

Fishing is only so so in southern areas for pike unless you drive over to E Saskatchuwan, Manitoba.

To be honest just go to Preist lake for Macs, PDO, river for pike and over to NW MT for trout
