1648 Lowe with a 31hp Mud Buddy surface drive and a lot of home modifications. It works well for the shallow sandy river I catfish. I can go where outboards won’t. I occasionally see an airboat, but mostly have the river to myself.

This was our home on the water for a couple years. The first day we picked the boat up and the last day we left her, fortunately sold slightly before the pandemic. We went from a family of 2 to a family of 4 while we lived on her. It was amazing to go spearfishing off the back of the boat and throw dinner out of the water, directly onto the deck. We also caught Tuna, sea bass and a few others that I didn't know the name of, while under sail. Sailing and fighting tuna at the same time might be one of the stupidest/funnest things I've ever done.

Now we keep it local with an ATV of the seas. Great for spearfishing, haven't yet sorted out trolling with it. I've also been scoping out some bear hunting and an elk LEH zone with it.

Are they worth the money? I've never used them but never felt the need as well, I am fairly new to trolling admittedly but it's becoming my main focus.
To me they are since I use my boat for both family and fishing. Keeps it clean looking when not fishing, and keeps you from drilling big holes all over the gunnel rails. Fixing a bunch of holes people drilled all over the boat made me weary of adding more.

Haven't seen one of these on here yet. Made my own cedar strip a few years back, A salvaged the hardwood from a local cabinet shop, so the thwarts and seats are black walnut and cherry. getting a little beat up so going to have to refinish it next year.

If there's anyone following this thread, who spends a lot of time trolling for trout, I'd love to pick your brain about setting up a boat for trolling and techniques, as well as lure choice. Trying to learn how to troll correctly and have success. 1 fish in about 55-60 hours of trolling so far😂

Send me a message if you're willing to share advice, will check back after work. Thanks💜

New to me - 2472 Seaark, with a full blind for ducks. Probably going to fab a bowfishing deck first. Have always wanted one of these with a removable, lightweight pilot house for year round use - so that may be in the works down the road.
