Here is my first attempt. Not nearly as pretty as Tim's. I need to pick up some stakes and poles and guy lines so it's not pitched as tight as it should be
This time I just used some Walmart clearance $1/yrd ripstop next time I'm probably gonna silnylon. I considered cuben but I'll be at almost $300 just for material so maybe down the road when I've got that to blow. Cuben would bring the weight to right at a pound I think.Live2hunt,
What did you use for material? I'm working on my tarp now and found some really good silnylon from www.ripstopbytheroll.com. It's 20d but has a higher tear strength and hydrostatic rating than any other silnylon I've found. I hope mine turns out as good as the ones already posted here. I'm adding a built in annex on mine, so we'll see how that works.

Looks mighty fine to me. Doesn't have to be pretty as long as it works.
