We had some snow a couple weeks ago. Maybe an inch that melted the same day. About 3500’ elevation. It’s 62 degrees here right now. And no relief in sight. Going to be hot for the next week. I’ll take the snow any day over this for hunting.
I'm at about 7000 ft. We have about 2 inches with steady snow forecast through wed. Nite temps just above zero with day temps in the 20s. Next week temps going to -2. It't been a little tough with your boots making boot balls with the ponies. Lower legs on the overnite elk freezing. Now you have to skin them before you leave or there is hell to pay. We did one last nite that we had to skin the lower legs with fencing pliers.
Get your woolies on folks. Now it is getting serious.
Snowed in town in Santa fe this week, snow up on the mountains on the regular, hopefully all the summer moisture translates to a heavy snow pack for the first time in years!!!
