I really liked them but they are sized so the L/XL only fits about a size 11-12 max depending on the size of your ankle. I have size 13-14 feet depending on the boot and they were so tight where my ankle meets my foot on the front of my foot that my foot started to go numb and would get very sore from the sock digging in after a few hours. My friend ended up with a nice free pair of socks and he wore them every day after that. Very nice socks but just don't fit big feet.

I just picked up 2 pairs recently. Pretty good quality best I can tell. Got the mountain athlete compression and the cold weather. Compression is slightly short on how high it comes up - good concept to combine a compression with a merino sock though. Summer weather where I live in the South is not allowing me to wear as often as I do other seasons to evaluate. Probably overrated for the price though.

I picked up 2 pairs of their hunting sock and one of their compression sock and they all fit great. I've been wearing them at work on nearly every shift. Like said before they do run a little small

Correction. I don't know why I was thinking you were talking about "Smartwool". I have no experience with "First Lite" sox. Just got back from the bush. Need sleep.

I like the Compression socks as well. Alternate with some Darn Toughs I already had.

I have two pairs of the cold weather and I like them as well.

However, the best socks ive found , BAR NONE, are from www.prosok.com

I have rucked for up to 30 miles in at a time with no hotspots or blisters. Also, 10-15 miles in the mountains with no issues either. Very good socks made from a bamboo weave. Use the word "cadre" for free shipping. Veteran owned by active duty Army SF soldier.

The compression socks are growing on me . It was mid sixties with rain this weekend so I wore them with my boots working in the shop on concrete for 2 days. The compression aspect really worked well with the merino. No fatigue, no sweat, no stink. Usually my feet get fatigued with long days on the concrete. Still wish they were taller but seem to work well.

Best socks on the market IMO, Just got back from a four day trip in Northern California. Temps were in the mid 80's in the afternoon. I brought two pairs of the Mountain Athlete compression, which I rotated between morning and evening hunts. They held up great no blisters or hot spots.

I have all firstlite baselayers/hat/gloves, but not the socks. I just love my DarnToughs so much I can't see any reason to change.

The Darn Tough socks are thicker and dry a bit slower. If your goal is keeping your feet dry (i.e from sweat) and you want the sock to dry quickly, the FL socks are hard to beat. I like the cold weather version as well. Just a tad thicker, but performs very well, especially here in Alaska.

Gonna try these, i have a 10.5 foot, what size should I go with? They don't have foot sizing on their website.

Sounds like you might be right in between sizes. I wear a 13 boot and bought the L/XL, and they fit fine. I got the compression ones so they are very stretchy. Not sure if this helps you.
