No. You may as well buy "Wigwams" from " Big5" or where ever. Hiked 10 miles with a 40 lb. pack yesterday in 85* heat & high humidity with one pair of "Darn Tough Sox". No blisters which is a first for me.So are they any good?
The Darn Tough socks are thicker and dry a bit slower. If your goal is keeping your feet dry (i.e from sweat) and you want the sock to dry quickly, the FL socks are hard to beat. I like the cold weather version as well. Just a tad thicker, but performs very well, especially here in Alaska.Best socks on the market IMO, Just got back from a four day trip in Northern California. Temps were in the mid 80's in the afternoon. I brought two pairs of the Mountain Athlete compression, which I rotated between morning and evening hunts. They held up great no blisters or hot spots.
