We used an AR pistol build in .300 blackout suppressed. Killed his first 4 deer that way. Just make sure it’s legal where you hunt. He now has a proper bolt action in 22 creedmoor as he shoots lefty and it’s nice not having the exhaust from the AR in his face. He killed a couple nice does this year with it.
