Going on my first antelope hunt in sheridan wy what are some good things to take and some tips?

Good maps and a GPS for the Sheridan area. Very little public land to hunt.

He must have points. With any points it should be a sure thing.

Most likely, however I am not sure I would use (waste) points on the antelope hunt areas that surround Sheridan.

Bring a cooler w/ice in your truck, break the animal down and get it on ice ASAP....

Private land tags are pretty simple to get. Chances are he is going with an outfitter.

I thought that could be the case, but then I wondered why the OP asked about "good things to take and some tips". Any outfitter that is worth booking a hunt with should be able to provide all that information.

Adjust your expectations and spend the first few days before the season scouting whatever goats are on public land and make sure you're ready to smack one opening morning because they will high tail it to private fast.
