Got a bear this weekend with a Colt 45 and 325gr cast bullet. Shot was 40 yards....




Plan is to make sausages and hams!

Cool, do you know when it was manufactured? I have a 1894, manufactured in 1899, that I'm planning on taking moose hunting this year.

AK TB - 1899 manufacture? That's pretty cool! This '92 is late 1990's early 2000....

Bullet was 325gr cast with wheel weights for the body and with a pure lead for the nose (by a friend). Bear was quartering away, the bullet just clipped the edge of the rear ham and was recovered from the off side shoulder, after breaking the scapula. Bullet now weighs 261gr.



Weather was too nice to butcher inside....

Thats a damn nice melon headed bear there. Ive killed 2 with a lever action rifle. Good times.
