I gotta say this only because it's driving me nuts. Back tension is a type of shot execution, hinge is a type of release. Even though everyone knows what your talking about.
With that being said I would agree with learning originally on a true hinge with no safety, start with a piece of 550 cord the length of your draw and use that for a few weeks, whenever you get a chance grab it and do 10-20 shot sequences with it. If you end up wanting to use a hinge while hunting then get a safety. Also in my opinion don't use a click with it. It creates anticipation and anxiety of he shot breaking which is basically what TP is. Zenith makes some great affordable models as well as truball. Scott brass longhorn is a classi that can be found for 100 bucks on AT all the time
