Fieldcraft is about to be back on the menu boys

What action did you go with? Who did the full length bedding?
I went with a Mack Bros Evo II action. Again, you'll have to pick whatever non-Barrett action you want. The Evo II is the same finish as the barrel so I liked the look (along with it being really solid action). There are lighter ones out there, if keeping weight down is a priority, which is kind of the spirit behind the Fieldcraft.

For bedding, I had planned to have it done but sold it before I ever got around to it. I still read conflicting opinions on full length bedding, but I generally think it's fine. Especially when you have a pencil-thin barrel, it kind of holds it all together very nicely.

Do you think $2500 would be a reasonable asking price? Not sure what Leupold scope is on it.It's been in my safe for a couple years, just took it out to clean and decided to shoot. Love the thing but want something with a suppressor for my daughter.

Any reason not to just have the fieldcraft cut and threaded for a can?

I’d definitely hold onto it vs your other option.

As a guy that sold a couple Fieldcrafts, if I could go back to that time when I sold them, I would beat my own ass so badly that i couldn’t type the ads to sell them.

Just for what it’s worth.
I'm worried I'd have the same feeling if I sold my 7mm-08 Kimber Montana 😁. Yes, I know not a Fieldcraft, but not easy to come by either.

I don’t think there’s much difference between the two if you’re comfortable doing some troubleshooting on a Montana. Certainly not a thousand+ bucks. They are excellent rifles.

I have a Fieldcraft and a Montana. I don't see ever selling either. The time or two it crossed my mind I soon realized that was just crazy thinking!
