Me too! Someone make me a quiet FHF with a lid that opens the other way. Or a Kuiu with straps like a FHF. Still looking here.

If the lid was the same as it is but the other way on an fhf, you would have to use 2 hands.

Yeah I get that. It would take a little redesigning.

It would have to be a lid like the bino bro otherwise it would be a PIA. I think it would be kind of a waste to redesign the lid to open a diff way when it is so easy to tuck back currently.

You could always cut the lid off your FHF and make something that works better for you.

Maybe a quieter material but I like the function of the lid just the way it is. I can easily use it one handed , tuck the lid inside for times I'm just cruising and looking and I can just drop the binoculars when I need to with the straps holding them. I can't find an advantage to the lid being reversed and the material is no louder than my pack so what's the point ? I think guys are hyper sensitive to the noise because it's right up by their ear and it seems loud. I'm sure that there are occasions when it really is too loud but it's not the norm.
