The OP is really funny, though it think life would be much better with more people like you, we wouldn't have to buy all the "Made in china" stuff if there were more people like you.

I try to buy local, but a paychecks a paycheck. I’ll shop local, if it’s close I’ll buy it there. For instance, I found some good tires cheap on amazon, $500 cheaper than here. Called everyone, to see if they could get close, couldn’t touch it. Sorry, I hate giving them my money but that’s enough for some fancy pack saved in one swipe.

That's fine if you mount, balance, and rotate them for the life of the tire yourself. Since you bought online any tire shop will charge you for all of those. They add up.

People complain all the time about dealer prices, but turn around and complain even more when the dealer closes up and they can't go fondle the gear and get free advice before buying on Amazon. They've got bills to pay too, and going in and using their knowledge and services and saying thank you doesn't pay the bills.

I try to buy local where I can. But the reality is, a small local shop cannot compete inventory wise with a large online retailer. Small shops carry a fraction of what is available. Some carry only high end, some low end, some in-between. Unfortunately, if none of what they have is what you are looking for, online is where many will turn.
