Here is what I am really curious about….we know the 7BC isn’t the end of the line. There is going to be a 300BC and one would have to think a 6.5BC.

The question is…what would the parent cases be? Will the 300BC require a magnum bolt head?

I am thinking they will use an unbelted version of the 300 win mag, shortened a little to be able to use longer bullets and it will require a magnum bolt head. But that is a random guess.

A slightly shortened 30-06ai with 300win performance and fast twist barrels seems more likely.

I would like to see 6mm as the next option.

6.5 is pretty dang crowded from a marketing perspective.

Less guys are hunting with big 30 cal magnums these days.

The bullet selection in 277 isn't great.

If you think 6.5 is a crowded marketplace...you should see 7mm!

Maybe a 30 isn't even needed if they make a 190 terminal ascent in 7mm.
