FCS Playoffs

I'm seriously considering that Montana St - Idaho game for a road trip. I cheer for NDSU, but really think college ball should be played outside.
Idaho has to get by the winner of Lehigh - Richmond first, and Richmond looks quite strong. I don't expect MSU will have much trouble with New Hampshire or UT-Martin. I quite like Idaho's dome! Better than the one at ISU, in my opinion. But back when BSU won the I-AA championship, our outdoor stadium gave us a major advantage over Grambling during the playoffs - they were freezing.

Interesting that the Big Sky got five slots, MVFC only four, but I guess Missouri State losing two in a row didn’t help. A month ago I thought UND was a shoe in, not sure what happened to them.

Tough to pick the #2 seed when they have identical records and they each beat one of the top three teams.

Should be some good football to watch!

I couldn't believe the collapse the Bison had at the end of the game on Saturday. Their secondary got exposed and looked both slow and confused. It was frustrating to watch...

Being an Idaho born MSU grad with a Vandal Dad, I hate one will eliminate the other.

I do feel like Touchdown Tommy, the golden boy from Butte, is destined to lead his squad to Frisco.

Go Bobcats.

UND can't win on the road.
I think USD and SDSU missed 2nd place because they played a D2 team. The D2 teams have more kids on scholarship than Drake does, but the committee doesn't look at that.

SDSU had the whooping cough cancel the game against Portland state so they lost out on a D1 win. That's my understanding at least from what I've heard.

Griz looked sloppy sloppy sloppy last night. At home. That game next week is going to be interesting for them.

From what little I watched, seemed like they has a handful of players that hadn’t played all season?

A couple of skill guys they were saving red shirts on. Now that it's the playoffs, they aren't burning redshirts by playing them.

Well as long as the weather holds and this congestion continues to leave my chest we are headed to Bozeman. Should be a great atmosphere for playoff football. I was having trouble watching football Saturday, until MSU, and SDSU started showing who was in charge. NDSU took the whole game to figure it out, and Mankato and Bemidji were down to the final play. Fun day.

Three Big Sky teams, three Missouri Valley teams left. The bracket is setup that there will be at least one less Big Sky team regardless.

Yeah, I think it will be those 2 conferences left. UC Davis can certainly upset USD. And NDSU better figure their issues out on defense. I'm picking SDSU, MSU, NDSU and UC Davis. That way for sure each conference is in Frisco.

NDSU took a quarter and a half off to figure it out. Sort of a trap style game (overlooked first round opponent, heavily favored, coming off bye week, 1/2 full stadium probably played into their unenthusiastic start.) After the 1st, NDSU outscored em 51-17 in 45 minutes. They clearly have some work to do in their pass D, but still held a very good air raid offense that averages 300 pass yds and 3 pass TD/game to 150 passing and 1 TD.

I haven’t been able to watch a game since the opener at Colorado, so hopefully can catch Saturday’s game that’s on national basic TV!

Half full stadium? That's pretty sad for a playoff game. Fans have gotten awfully spoiled.

Ya, I guess I get it. Between tickets, parking, etc. it’s probably a few hundred bucks to take a family of 4. Tough for a lot of people to do that 3 weeks in a row so they probably make a decision to wait and hope the players do their job in the early round. The thing people miss, especially with all the moving up to FBS talk, is that NDSU has a relatively small market to be putting 20k people in the stands every week. I lived there for 5 years and never went to a game! The tailgating lot and Labby’s/The Turf/Chubs had way more action than any football game! 😂😂😂
