Favorite Sheep Hunting Pants

Kuiu Attack. Going on 10 yrs with mine. Also have a pair of Skree pants that I really like.

Interesting thread. Have any of you tried any pants from Stone Glacier? Im pretty tall (36" inseam) and they seam to be one of the few that offer something for thin, taller folks.

You betcha. I have the de havilland regular and light. 32 waist, 34 inseam and they fit like a dream. The regular are a little heavy for early season. The Lite have become my favourite hunting an daily use pant. Great stuff

For super early season I like the OR Cirque Lite. However, temps were a bit cooler this year so I went with the SG DeHavillands and really liked them. Having the side vents for the bush push to treeline was really nice.

Sitka Intercept. The side zips and knee pads are pretty nice. The "weight of these pants is very versatile. Not too heavy for the early season when it is warm and not too light for the later season when it is chilly. Perfect do-it-all all pant in my opinion.

I use Stika Mtn pant or KUIU attack pant when it still pretty warm. When it gets cold, I use Sitka timberline pants.

Another Sitka Timberline vote, although I have the mtn pants as well. Timberline would be my first choice unless warm weather is expected - they are tougher and more stout overall, while the mtn pants are a little lighter and would be my choice in warmer weather.

This August I took kuiu attack, stone glacier m5 rainpants, and lightweight merino long jons to Alaska.

I ended up wearing the merino long jons and m5 pants w/gaiters all 12 days I hunted. I liked being able to open the side zips from my hip to the top of my gaiters to regulate heat when hiking.

Only time I ended up wearing the attacks was when we stopped at night after getting camp set up. If the side zips on the kuiu attacks were longer, I think they'd be great.

Barney's PA18 pants are my go-to mountain pants by a long shot. Tried about everything else and the second best, Kuiu Alpine's are no longer made.

Sitka Mtn pants for most mid-August through September. OG Prana zions if temps are going to hit high 60s-70s

Agreed on the Kuiu Kutana for warm weather and attacks as it gets colder. The Kutana are light and fairly breathable but very durable for the weight
