I would prefer a nice ruck or hike in the mountains, but alas my suburban town doesn't offer much of that. So instead, I usually run. I don't really enjoy it, but when I get a good podcast on it makes it more bearable once I am a mile or so in. Usually do all of my exercising before work as well, so there aren't a ton of people out while I am sucking for air in the darkness.
lifting weights faster, because I absolutely cannot stand cardio! But seriously I'll hit the basketball court by myself at a fast pace. Taking shots and shagging the ball quickly, running full court for layups etc. It works because im not a good shot so im constantly running to grab the ball. If I lived anywhere with hiking trails, id do that. Sitting on a treadmill, all I can think of is how much I hate being on a treadmill.
Winter time I like the row machine and bike, I usually alternate between the two. Weekends I like to xc ski or skin. When it is warm I run, ruck, and mountain bike.
I usded to like Crossfit, but after we had our 2nd kid I stopped going and working out at home. I stopped doing all the kipping and found I actually gained more strength.
