Favorite Form Of Cardio

indoors- max incline treadmill walks at 3-3.5 mph. Or stair climber with/without weight.

Outdoors - sprints. Hill sprints. Rucking.

I’m enjoy jump rope but I haven’t done it much the last year.

Anything indoors gets boring quick. If I’m outside I tend not to notice the length of time I’m out.

Depending on the time of year I trail run or mountain bike with a heavier focus on biking the last couple of years. I hike and ruck year round as well.

Boxing intervals of 3 minute heavy bag rounds followed by 5-6 minute trail run, then repeat. 3-4 sets. This is for intensity.
Hiking with the dog (Cavachon) for lighter cardio.

Stairclimber is the ticket for indoor cardio, IMO, and gives the most beneficial form of training for what we do in the mountains. It’s also the least boring, for me at least. I also enjoy rowing. My knees have always disliked treadmills/ellipticals for some reason. Never have gotten much into cardio-level swimming but it’s a great option.

For outdoor cardio; running (trail or track), and hiking (with impactful elevation loss/gain), are my go-to choices.

1 1/2 of hockey today with poor turnout so no bench time was too much! But it's my favorite by far. Next is actually hiking the local 700ft hill. Indoor cardio, I don't. Not currently. Just strength training if inside.
