What’s your favorite or preferred form of cardio?

I’ve started getting into jump roping as one of my preferred forms of cardio to get a quick sweat.

30 seconds jumping, 30 second rest for 15 minutes = a quick sweaty effective workout for me. I usually shoot for at least 50 rotations in the 30 seconds.

Trail Running is my favorite form of cardio. Many years ago back when I used to do CrossFit, I got in to jump rope and used the CrossRope system. For me, it was what increased my VO2 max more than anything else. If I remember correctly, my VO2 max reached 73. I was in my early 40’s at the time.

Climbing hills is about the only form of cardio that's enjoyable to me. Can be hunting, regular backpacking, skiing, mountaineering, ice climbing, whatever.

Running is ok but not great. Hate biking up hills.

I have the crossrope bundle that has 4 different weight ropes. I dont use the little one but using the mid small and the medium weight one, you get cardio and some strength training. The heavy one hurts tooo much when i miss a rotation so it sits hanging on the wall.

Longer 20 minute plus CrossFit type workouts, hiking/rucking, running. I do a little of all.

Short and fast CrossFit workouts just really dont do anything for my endurance in the mountains. I still do them but as often as I used too. The longer hyrox type workouts are in my wheelhouse and really do improve endurance in the mountains for me.
