Premade breakfast burritos wrapped in foil and frozen. Eggs, cheese, bacon , sausage, hash browns and green chile to taste. Heat them up on the stove while coffee is brewing or making hot water.

Just remember to bring stuff to be able to wash out your shaker bottle with...it gets kinda ripe in early seasons

I don't have much to add that hasn't been covered here already but I also make a very similar oats and protein mixture. Rather than a shaker cup, if you make it in a quart bag you can eat it right from the bag and skip the cleanup.

Also, on the protein ratio deal... It's more like 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of lean body mass, not total body weight. That is a significant difference, and frankly if you're not a competitive strength athlete, it's incredibly difficult to consume 200-300 grams of protein without eating meat or powder all day.

Bacon, tortillas, nut butters, and bars make up most of my food.

A 'Serious Texas BBQ - Texas Taco' is a prehunt requirement for me. I grab two before I leave town and have one for dinner when I get to my parking spot. I eat the other the next day. A tortilla stuffed to the gills with cheesy potatoes and brisket, topped with cranberry habanero sauce is about as good as it gets to me.

My plan is to shoot an elk on the first day so I'll have plenty of protein for the rest of the hunt.

Ha. Sounds like the backpacking trip I took with some buddies in college. We hardly brought any food because we were going to eat all the fish we caught...walked out of there 3 days later totally famished.

Lol. I've done a few like that. One time we really only took liquor, a few candy bars, and some fishing line/a box of flys. We found out that the fish in the stream we hiked in to had all kinds of gross knot like growths in them so after the candy bars all we were out of food. It was a knarly hike out with guts full of booze and candy. Also one of my buddies found out he's allergic to Johnson grass so his face swelled up l like a balloon. Fun times.
