Have used Filson tin cloth and they are awesomely durable, but heavy. Still would recommend them if absolute durability is what your after. Turtle Skin chaps are awesome: super durable, waterproof and snake proof. For pants, this year I’m using Pyke gear and I they are awesome. There is good stuff for less money, but they are tough, fit well and are made in the USA. For late season you will want the Tongass or Northcut series. The Tongass are more water resistant and the Northcut are thicker and a little more durable/briar resistant. Both are great pants. I have worn the Tongass 90% of the season this year and have been very happy. For relevancy I live in and mostly hunt Montana, but try to take a couple trips to the Dakotas each year if I can.
