Each season, I spend many days in the sagebrush and field edges behind my shorthairs hunting upland birds. Over those years, I have shot a variety of gauges and brands of shotguns. I have played with over/unders, pumps, single shots, & semi autos. I have shot both 12GA and 20GA and in recent years, settled on a 20GA semi auto for all my upland adventures.
After meeting with Weatherby in Salt Lake City at the Western Hunt Expo this past year, we teamed up to get the Element II Upland shotgun (20GA) out in the field with me for this upcoming season. Follow along as I pattern shells, break clay pigeons, and hopefully shoot lots of cattail busting pheasants. We have plans for our stomping grounds here in Washington, our annual trip to South Dakota and possibly a Montana trip mixed in. No Doubt this gun will get some exposure!
Couple of things right out of the box:
. Fit is excellent, gun shoulders nicely with a great natural site view down the barrel
. Finish is beautiful, the wood stock is a real eye pleaser
. Cost point is really affordable. MSRP is at $799
. Lightweight for those long walks
