The frontiersman -by Allan W. Eckert
Makes you realize how hard our ancestors were… and how soft we are now. Based on American history great listen/read
Endurance by Alfred Lansing is a great one if you want to realize just how soft we are now.. Shackleton was a hard dude. Almost two years shipwrecked in Antarctica and didn’t lose a single man.

Not sure if most know this or not? If you have Amazon and do the no rush shipping, it gives you digital credits that can be used for AUDIBLE. Which in turn gives you free books in Audible. Whether the book is $4 or $40 the one digital credit buys the book for you. It notifies you when a credit is about to expire and then you can just buy a book and it's in your library.
