Fat Guy Weekly Weigh In.

still hanging around 180#, started climbing stairs at work. 101 steps from top to bottom and have been doing 45min to hr 2-3 times a week. I am jogging and walking up and walking down, still starting to bother my knees (alway had issues there) So I have started jogging around the plant site (1 mile) dragging a 65# tire. Did two miles last night and had to stop about 6-7 times each lap and rest 15-30 seconds then start again. Took me right at 20 min. each lap, I was pretty wiped out lol. Not fast but getting it done. Fills like a better work out then the stairs (seems to work the core) and does not bother my knees. I also still do the Maxx trainer at max level for 14 min. 5-6 days a week. I have noticed that my recovery time is so much better then when I was up at 230# lol. Had a bad week last week on vacation, definitely fell of the low carb wagon lol. need to get back at it.

236.0 this morning, up a little from a Friday morning low of 234.8.
Traveling during the next two weeks for work and then vacation. If I can maintain through it hat I will be pretty happy.

Okay, I've said it a few times since I've fallen off the wagon... I'm getting back on! After meeting up with my archery hunting buddies last night I need to get back to training and eating better. I dropped off during bear season. I'm at 215 as of today.

First gain of the year. 193 this week up a pound. Only did pack workouts this week no running so that may have something to do with it.

Started around 3/29 or so at 248.6.

Today 216.4 for a drop so far of 32.2 lbs. I lost the weight with a diet change that was very easy to adapt to. I am 5-11 and 49 years old. I would love to get back to 180 lbs.

I got a little aggressive and started speed workouts on a track too early and ended up tweaking my knee two weeks ago so I am a little concerned. I have a stone sheep hunt mid August and a Colorado bighorn hunt sept 3rd. Then I have a mountain goat hunt in Nov in B.C. so you can see where my late surge in motivation is coming from. Still pretty concerned but I’ll use that concern to keep me getting stronger and lighter.

Good luck to everyone.

Dropped 14 pounds and 2.5" off my gut in last month. Working on stairs with backpack and weights. Cut 80% of the carbs out of my diet and feeling good. Daily walking as well.

It’s still a loss bud. Keep at it

I'll play.

Couple years ago, 215. Today, between 160 and 165. Losing weight is one of the easiest things you'll ever do. It requires absolutely nothing in the way of effort or expense. Being active helps but that's more about doing things rather than losing weight.

230 and going the wrong direction for a couple weeks now. I either need a more stressful week at work or more time on the treadmill. I’m leaning treadmill at this point...

Quite a nice surprise this morning. I reached my goal weight. Unfortunately my self assessment a few weeks ago was correct. 210 isn’t quite low enough for me, despite what everyone around me says. At 6’3” I don’t see 200 as an unreasonable goal. Onward and downward.

SkinnyBob, what’s you doing? Nice work! I’m holding at 220 and working out more. Cycling and cardio at the gym. I know I’m losing fat because my pants fit loose and need a belt.

Just wanted to say great job to everyone on keeping at it! Getting closer everyday to the start of the season. While in the gym I've really been focusing on putting myself in the headspace of packing elk out of a deep, steep, rugged hellhole and how thankful I will be then, that I pushed myself now. It helps get through the gnarly workouts when I'm feeling beat. CANT WAIT! Keep it up Everyone!!

Down 1.6 lbs from 2 weeks ago (last weigh in) and 20.4 lbs total.

Down to a better number this morning. Just about halfway to my goal of 200. I was on vacation last week and made a trip out to the unit I drew an archery elk permit for in the breaks. Let's just say the hills are much bigger than the google made it look like and I have a renewed focus on dropping the next 20 lbs before season starts.

Jumping in here today was the start of the rest of my life. 1st workout done joining kettle bells this week as well.
June 25th 180.4

Upped my miles and switched to some trail runs. Weights are shifting over to kettlebells and movement exercises. I'll save the heavy iron for after hunting season.
