Fall bear hunting

So I’m new to bear hunting and I want to do a fall hunt in Idaho but need some help. My dad and I are planning on coming middle of September. Going for spot and stalk. I went out during the spring in unit 12 but it was super thick and I had to go earlier than expected because of work so there was still snow on the ground. So if you guys have any recommendations or input for some other units it would be much appreciated.

I archery hunted for elk in Idaho a few years ago near McCall and we saw bears every day. Mostly near creek bottoms and lush valleys. I wished I had bought a bear tag. If your hunting around that area I sure wouldn’t think you would have any trouble finding them.
