Factory primer pockets damage?

I went to reload some Hornady brass tonight that were empties from factory loads. I noticed the primer pockets looked unusual when I was uniforming them. I went ahead and tried to prime them anyway and immediately had problems. Has anyone seen factor bras that looks like this?

I can’t tell from the photo but are you talking about crimped primers?

Was that before or after you messed with them?
