What factory ammo is out there that takes advantage of the 1:8 twist in the newer Tikka 243s?

If you want to take advantage of the 1:8 twist you either need to hand load or buy from Unknown Munitions or Copper creek and have them load.

If you are shooting 400 and in, Winchester Silvertip 95 grain uses the nosler ballistic tip and is great. Or hornady eld or sst.

I snagged some Winchester silvertip to go along side the hand loads with some 95 grain TMK I’m going to put together. If I’m just shooting white tail on the east coast and I’m not using the 223, the Winchester will do the job just fine.

Sako 90 grain soft points haven’t found any tikka or sako that won’t shoot them good all round fox and deer bullet.

Hand loads for heavies.

95 SST and 90 ELDX factory usually shoot really well in Tikkas and Sakos and is very deadly on big game.
