So Im starting to get into this DIY Gear making. Figured Id start a post so we can share sources on the internet for fabric and hardware. Tonight I found this website.

Pretty awesome selection of material and hardware. They also carry the Climashield Apex Insulation and many different flavors of Ripstop. I just ordered a Sample of both their material and the insulation they sell.

Anyways if you have some fabric or hardware sources you would like to share. Lets get a running post. Also any good websites for gaining more knowledge and best practices for DIY Gear creation and modifications.

Cascadecraftworks.com sells some high end stuff you can't get anywhere else, and sells a few things by the half yard also. Always had fast shipping from them.

I'll add DIYGearSupply.com to the list. I have ordered from the several times. They/he runs sales now and again that are great on fabrics and the hardware prices are hard to beat for zippers and other stuff.

One other thing, I did notice that RBTR has a bunch of silnylon that is stated to be a silicon/PU mix coating. Anyone ordered this and have any comparisons to regular silnylon?

Nope. My usual screen name that I have used since forever (lineman78: football not power) was taken (possibly by me, since according to Ryan I have 2 accounts; I think Tapatalk did something weird) so I threw a CO on the front since I'm in Colorado.
