A while back, the law was changed to a 1x scope, red dot or iron sights. Wanted to see what people are finding works the best?

I’m mainly looking for what gives me the best sight picture at further distances 100-200 yards.

The leupold rds red dot with turret has worked out well for me. I much prefer it to the other popular option ( vortex crossfire 1x). I've shot a fair amount now with both and the leupold is far more precise for me.

Assuming gun and shooter proficiency, how far does the dot allow you to shoot and not cover the entire body of a deer?

Was at the range with a guy in November…..we both had muzzleloaders and were getting ready for our respective hunts. My ML had the Revic prep site. The other guy had an exception from the State of NV to hunt with a 1x scope. After he and his party shot with his, I let them shoot mine. I regularly take mine accurately to 450 yrds. They were so impressed with the Revic Peep vs. the leupold 1x. The Revic is pricey, but man is it worth it.

Leupold rds. I believe they just released a “muzzy” version that comes without mount and you can do their cds system on it.
