Ok, I travel to Colorado each year, WV a couple of times, Florida and all over Georgia. I know I really need a sedan instead of a truck, each trip to WV and Colorado and I usually need a 4X4 in a truck, plus I love my truck. So I need a good highway tire but in the fall I need a good tire with a good lug on it and not rattle my teeth out on the way there. Plus I would like some tread life ability in the tire. I have been thinking about BF Goodridge AT tires. Any suggestions?

Big fan of the KO2 and toyo AT 3’s. I think if you’re doing more long distance the at3’s would be a better choice for on road

I'm running them on this new f-150. Noise is slightly noticeable compared to the factory Michelins hwy tires but not bad.

KO2's but they don't wear as long as the older versions. Seems like once you hit about half tread the wear accelerates even more.

Great traction in all weather and great off road performance.

I've had BF's AT's on my last 3 F150 and currently have KO2. No complaints. The new Toyo AT3's look interesting too.

I've had the Nitto Terra Grapplers until just a few weeks ago. When they wrote out I got the Nitto Recon Grapplers for my f150 and they're incredible.

Quieter then the Terras with better and thicker lugs.

I'm old school - I like BFG MT's. Have had a set for many years, but recently put them on a 3rd gen 4runner, and they are awesome. Every time I see a BFG AT in the mud, it is completely packed.

I have Hankook MT's on another truck and they are also good. Plus they are E rated (these are on a 4x4 dually with a truck camper).

On my second set of KO2s, and had a set of Hankook Dynapro AT Ms. Both are excellent tires.
I use the 285/60-18. I bit more robust for some very rocky roads I travel.

I've seen an awful lot of wildpeak tires around lately. I also have them on my f150. I had duratracs before these and plan to go back to them after these wear out. Wildpeaks are not a bad tire. They do not perform as good in the snow and mud after they start to wear down however. It's hard to beat duratracs in the snow. They clean out very well in my experience. My last set of duratracs lasted 80k miles.

I have the 8 ply BGF K02s on my '16 F150. They have about 55k on them (mostly hwy) and still have some tread depth. They have gotten pretty noisy with wear. Overall i'm happy with the tread life and off road performance. Not thrilled with road noise and they are pretty shitty on wet roads / ice. They hydroplane easily and spin easy on wet roads even just starting from a stop. I'll probably have new tires by winter they will be something different because I'm in MN and want something better on slippery paved roads.

I had this same experience with my KO2s. Once they got to about half tread, they stunk on wet roads. Great tire up to that point.

OP, most of the options given in this thread will do what you need. Hard to beat any of the name brand tires today. My recommendation is to go at least with a D load range (8 ply) at a minimum. I have always used E (10 ply) and can’t tell you the last flat tire I have had in the last 20 years.
