We are just finishing up the testing on our new bolt knob. The attachment system we came up with is working exceptionally well. Installation and removal only takes about 30 seconds, and requires zero modification to your rifle. Unlike the clamp on bolt knobs, this one isn’t bulky & once it is installed, it’s super rigid & won’t vibrate loose. Works exceptionally well and definitely decreases any issues with heavy bolt lift.

Our system should fit any Tikka of Howa with the hollow bolt knob. Some early Howas and very recent Tikkas have solid bolt knobs, but the vast majority have a bored hole in the end of the bolt knob.

We have a couple of options for the knob itself… we are definitely going to manufacture the Plain Jane model… because that’s the one I want for my rifles :). Then we’d like to do one that’s a little larger and a little more grippy. They are labeled ALT1-ALT3. Feel free to offer your opinion.

I have a handful of Plain Jane for both Tikka & Howa. If you’ve got some time to do some testing and give me feedback, I’ll send you out a unit for free. They haven’t been to anodize or nitrided, so they won’t be a pretty as final production, but they are absolutely functional. Just send me a message on here with what rifle you plan to put it on, which scope and mount height (there should never be any interference, but I want to make sure), and how quickly you can get it out on the range or in the field. I’d just like to get feedback on how installation goes, functionality, trigger finger and scope clearance etc… we can only test them on the rifles we have laying around and at the local gun shop when no one is looking :)

Interesting how they connect. I was literally just thinking about a bolt lift and whether I want one on my new tikka. Never used one. Wondering if they would just be in the way....

If you want, I would be interested in testing one out. I am in Liberty Lake, so basically local to you. I am planning on doing initial shooting on my new rifle Sunday, shooting next weekend also.

That’s funny, we all started out at a tech company in Liberty Lake back in the late 90’s/ early 2000’s… we figured we’d be Microsoft millionaires by now :)

I think all the test assemblies went out yesterday, but we should be spooled up in production in a couple weeks.

I like the one on my Tikka, it definitely makes cycling the bolt easier and quicker… but it’s still discrete enough that I don’t mind it while hunting.
