Anyone expensing hunting related items and trips through their LLC? Right now I do the simple things like boots and clothing. Things I can justify. But how far can I take it? Flights, tags, guns...?

If you have a "client" with you, it is marketing.
^^^My thought exactly. I'm in manufacturing and it just so happens my friends and family have been some of my customers. Taking my "clients" on a trip it sounds like it has some business relevance to me. If my kids work for me, I should be able to cover their expenses as well, right?

I know a family that I am friends with that does it for hunting trips.
Last year they went to Mongolia for Ibex.

What business are they in? I’d love to know how an ibex hunt was related to that business

Not giving anymore of my hard earned money than I need to.
Welcome to the forum.

I agree with this 100% but write offs and expenses should be honest. I am so tired of seeing just about everyone who has a small business cheat on their taxes.

Just because someone hunts with a buddy and briefly mentions his business or maybe he hunts with a client friend, doesn't mean writing off all hunt costs/clothing/binos etc. is honest or fair to friends, neighbors, and fellow Americans who file honestly.

If you were interested in making videos, there are plenty of guys to copy. Honestly, I wish it was in my personality or I’d be writing off all sorts of stuff, have a whole line of merch, drive around in a new pickup to events all over the country.

It will help if you familiarize yourself with starting a small business. It’s much easier to justify expenses if they aren’t commingled with your private life. Many YouTubers have a rented or owned separate location from their house and use that to better separate income, purchases and expenses from their personal life. A CPA consultation would be worth it to better understand how much effort you need to put into it as a business, since just using it to avoid taxes isn’t legal unless you meet the threadhold.
