Not sure how you know what issues I have with the pack the TT would solve? The TT is definitely not what I’m looking for.

Anyone use other brand bags on the K4 frame? I like the frame. There are some extremely annoying parts to the bags though.

I didn’t list the annoyances which is why I responded with what I did. Somehow he knows the TT will fix them though?

This is where RS is going downhill. Without posters actually knowing the full story they recommend stuff their hero recommends. A lot of times without actually using it themselves. Or they have used that one item but not the other 7 competing items. It’s always “the best” though since they use it or their hero uses it.

I actually don’t disagree with you, advice without experience to back it up is really frustrating. That said, I bought a K4-5000 shortly after release following a horrible packout using a MR pack that failed. I loved the K4 but the numerous straps and buckles along with near-useless side pockets really frustrated me when I took the K4 hunting. Those two complaints are a common theme in this thread when people complain about the K4 bags, so I (wrongly) assumed this was your gripe as well.

I’ve been using the S2H teratorn since late spring and got one of the demo bags to provide feedback. Within a few days of using it to ruck and practice shooting it was clear that it fixed almost every complaint I had about the original K4 bag.

As for wanting another brand of bag, I replied to that ask saying it likely wouldn’t work because before the release of the teratorn I looked extensively for the same thing to no avail. There are a few guys that have tried to retrofit a K3 bag or a kifaru bag to the K4 but it seems like a difficult task.

I hope you find a good solution to whatever your issues may be and if you can look past your concerns about who developed and brought the teratorn to market, you may find it’s a great alternative.

No surprise here but just wanted to give the guys at @ExoMtnGear a compliment for the awesome customer service. I’ve been fighting two very tight water bottle pockets for 2+ years and finally reached out to them. They had 2 new ones in the mail asap. Top notch service from a top tier company.

Also I totally understand his desire to make everything backwards compatible.
But the front lid straps need to be on the lid not the frame. What way when you run lid less there no dangleys

Definitely needs less crap dangling!

Did that fix it? Mine are still a PITA a year later. They work but its a real struggle with the pack on.

It was night and day difference for me. Got one when they originally came out and chalked it up to me being incompetent with ease of getting the bottle in. When my friend ordered one and I tried it there was a big difference. The stitching on them looked different as well. Got taken care of though!

I second this. I recently upgraded some of my own stuff and got my wife into a K4, ended up just ordering a couple different options and seeing what fit best. Between Mark's advice and Jake's help, I got her fit up perfectly and they offered and paid for shipping on the return items. 11/10 would recommend.
