If anyone knows where to find those molle clips on Amazon or something please send a link, $40 plus shipping seems absurd form their website.

I got these on amazon for $26. It seems expensive for what they are, but they are pretty slick.

What exactly are you looking for? I have some “long” molle clips that are a soft plastic, I think I have 3-4 I will send you free if they would work for you, also have some of the hard plastic ones like posted above, but couldn’t find them recently 😂 if I do, don’t need them either and would give them away…. If I can find them

Had both for a few years and if I haven’t found a use for them by now, I don’t need them, and assume give them to someone who does

My pack arrived today, I'll save you all another round of generic unboxing photos of a fusion 5000 pack but as expected, it does not disappoint in person. I might end up cutting a half inch or so from the stays but need to spend some time carrying around some weight before I decide.

Not overlooked at all. We tested numerous different connection options. One of the things we don’t like about a buckle connection for the lid is that the length of the hardware inherently reduces how tight you can snug the lid down, contributing to poor lid fit.

Our design for K4 is super fast and simple to disconnect, and offers a lid that fits great and stays in place.
One of the main problems with kifaru's lids.

I love the new lid and bag attachment of the K4. I may be in the minority, but I was never a big fan of the K3 bag attachment with the velcro wings, I actually preferred the K2 bag attachment. To me it was a solution to a problem that didn't exist. Maybe I am in the minority, but when I am breaking a pack down for hauling meat, saving 15-30 seconds is not a big deal to me, especially considering that it takes a minimum of an hour to break down a bull and get it ready for the trip. I just don't see a couple of minutes being a game changer. Your mileage may vary, but I will take simple and secure every time.

I agree on the K3 bag attachment. In a day or two I will have a K4 and will probably agree on that as well.

This is my first Exo but that process of removing the bag and all of that is so incredibly simple compared to all of the others I’ve used. This alone makes the system worth it to me. I cannot stand messing around with straps and buckles trying to get bags and lids situated just right. I’ve had my bag and lid on and off my k4 frame probably 5 times this weekend alone just messing with it and strapping sandbags to it. It takes no time at all and everything snugs up perfectly even empty.

There’s something to be said for simplicity. I have a K2 and KUIU. Both are simple. I can and have taken them down to their component parts without instruction.

I bought a used Kifaru Duplex lite to try before springing for a K4. I wish I researched them in more detail before ordering. Those things are so complicated. The bag attachment, load shelf, shoulder strap adjustments. Truly a terrible design in comparison.

I like the quick detach on top.
I'm getting better, but im usually soaking wet, pooped and don't mess with the pack until after the meat is done.
I forget to loosen the bottom, then about tear the top of the bag off horsing it over the frame.

Or I loosen them, and forgot to tighten them up. Until I'm all loaded, then say f it I'm tough gotta go before my socks freeze solid.
And end up with weight to low.

Yeah, a person gets pretty spoiled with straightforward intuitive pack break down with exo, they have always been that way, and the k4 is even a little more yet.

Most companies want you to work for it if you plan to use the meat shelf, exo you don’t even need to familiarize yourself with it, it’s self explanatory and easy.

Which is funny because the only damn reason we use a back like this is for the ability to haul meat!

Got my 5K yesterday. Just as i suspected, it seems like a good mix between a kifaru and SG. Kifaru type frame, belt and materials, and intuitive well designed streamlined bag like an SG. Seemed to fit right out of the box too. I think ill need to trim some off my stays, which is really handy to be able to do that, i kind of suspected that when ordering the 26.5" stays. Belt fits perfect, thanks for the excellent online instructions @S&S ARCHERY @Mark at EXO. There is nothing worse than getting a new pack and the belt doesn't fit properly. Lumbar feels pretty firm out of the box, i am looking forward to using this pack everyday for the next week while on days off. RG looks great too.

I’ve got about 15 miles in mine with 50lbs. The lumbar feels like it is settling in very nicely.

For those with the 5000, how much (and what) are you able to put in the stretch pocket? Considering it is smaller, I am curious if you still find it useful. Thx
