EXO K4 Now or Wait for the EXO K4X

I’ve got a 7200. It gets small enough to do single sits whitetail hunting one sticking in a saddle. It’s perfectly functional as a small day pack as it is a 2 week pack.

I went ahead and ordered the 7200. I have wanted to try one for a few years and decided this is as good a time as any.

Thanks man! We'll get it shipped ASAP. Feel free to hit me up directly if you have any Qs once you start working with the pack.

Thats too bad but I am sure it will be worth it.

Have a 2200 and a teratorn for my exo frame right now. Im much more prone to use the wrong pack for the job vs switching was thinking about just getting a 2nd frame. The regular on the terratorn and the x frame for my 2200 sounded like a prefect combo. Waiting another little bit isnt the end of the world though.

Like a few others, fondled the K4X this morning. I’m going to use a term that Steve hates, but it is a “game changer”. Though not a final version, the prototype was beyond amazing.

Just take my money!!!!!!!!

Can you elaborate? Is the material used giving it a lighter weight the only change?

Changes to design on the hip belt, lumbar pad, shoulder harness? Options for a less curved carbon stay? Options for larger or smaller lumbar supports?

Again this was a prototype that I saw. So I don’t want to share too much as it isn’t my place to share. But the fabric was different (significantly lighter in weight) but appears very durable. The lumbar pad and shoulder straps appear similar in design but with different fabrics surrounding them. The back frame portion also has a different material and design. I like that everything is interchangeable with the current bags. Again, I don’t want to share too much as I think Steve and his crew deserve to share what they want. But overall, I will tell you, it can’t be released soon enough as I was BEYOND impressed! It wouldn’t matter what the price was for me, it was that nice to me.

They confirmed 2027 on the podcast and maybe here too. It sounds like they have quite a few packs out in the wild right now being tested to have ready for the 2027 season.
