This is what I’m hoping. I like the frame, hate the current bags. Would love a streamlined pack with less pockets/zippers in xpac or a similar material. Please make any new bags coming out compatible with the K4 frame. Love that thing.
Same as me, have had the K2 almost 10 years now and still no reason to upgradeFor whatever it’s worth I’m still running a k2 and have no issues with it. I have friends who upgraded to the k4 and after comparing to mine they have voiced that they would have been just as happy with the k2/3.
This would be ideal for all current K4 owners. I would think this would be the casePlease make any new bags coming out compatible with the K4 frame. Love that thing.

Looks like some K3 elements put in to reduce the amount of zippers.
It’s been mentioned in the podcast a couple of times. I haven’t seen or heard it anywhere else.Where is this 2lbs less information coming from? I haven't been able to find that mentioned anywhere but this thread
Steve stated in a recent moose oil tag pack list vid 3 pounds 14 oz for a 4000 so maybe not apples to apples be it they dont currently have a 4000It’s been mentioned in the podcast a couple of times. I haven’t seen or heard it anywhere else.
Did you sheep hunt with a 4k size pack this year? Hoping for a 7k option.K4x will be worth waiting for if you are a mountain hunter. The prototype bags that I’ve been using, as well as the latest that Steve has in that picture, are so dialed now. More minimal than the current K4 offerings, while still being very functional. The K4x frame is dimensionally the same as a K4, except that it weighs significantly less while maintaining the same rigidity and performance. Bags are completely cross compatible. They are not Xpac, DCf or Ultra fabric, but one that outperforms all of those. EXO is going to absolutely knock it out of the park with this pack.
