Exo Experience Challenge

keeps the challenge very similar or the same if they do it again and ignores all this noise.
I for one think there is no chance they do this again next year. I have read this and the discord and cannot believe the amount of people complaining or 'what about my specific situation' ing that goes on.

Unless they just enjoy being kicked in the nuts on the daily by people on the internet I imagine they will find other things to do with their time next year.

If I am wrong on that I'll be busting out another 1000 step ups in 5 days and admittedly won't enjoy any second of it other than when I finish but I sure as hell won't be getting online to complain about a $100 chance to win a sheep hunt that takes nothing more than some sweat (mental or physical).

It blows my mind how much people complain about something they willingly entered into (or maybe you’re just on the sideline secretly jealous that some of us are willing to work for a incredibly gracious opportunity)

Also, how some of you think those of us who have chosen to participate have copious amounts of time on our hand. Yet, you sit here on RokSlide and are posting how busy your life is.

It’s really ironic. That is all.
I post while I’m working that’s why I stated multi tasking. You must have plenty of time also your on Rokslide !!! Besides that I think it’s great people are participating, I think it’s a great opportunity for someone that’s wants to write journals and do videos while doing step ups. I’d be more reluctant to video my ass going up a steep mountain via email or text or maybe just take my word for it. Ether way I paid my $40 to say the format is stupid. I got better things to do and yes I work 60 hours a week I can pay for my own goat hunt.
What do you mean they won’t do it again ?
They haven’t lost money on this challenge, only made money and sold a lot of stuff to boot. They would be stupid not to continue doing it next year. I’ll put my $40 in again whether it’s the same format or not, just to help someone win a hunt that’s how I roll. But if it’s the same tech shit I’m out. I’m in shape, I know what it takes to hunt in mountain terrain and it doesn’t have to be sheep or goats. Last time I checked Elk, Muledeer, whitetails, bear, mountain lions and so forth live in some rough terrain been there done that.

I already posted this thought on the discord but: If the primary goal of the challenge is to hold participants accountable to become the most capable sheep hunter that they possibly can prior to the hunt drawing, then the step ups as an exclusive component (over outside elevation gain and decent) doesn’t make sense. Fewer reps with very heavy weights in the gym can be super beneficial for the actual mountains in my opinion, but for high volume I’m not sure anything beats the real thing. But if we ditch that idea as primary end goal (which is hard to do because so much of the rest of the challenge has had that as the stated goal) and look at the step ups as a simple and somewhat arbitrary challenge that can be leveled across all participants then it makes plenty of sense.

I’m 50,three kids, work out of town and stay at a hotel on 12 hour days 3-4 nights a week.
Do you want to hear me whine?
They set the rules for one hell of an opportunity.
Don’t matter if you like it or not.
Pretty easy decision.
Quit or get it done.
Just like a hunt, quit or get it done.
You paid your $40 you can do as you wish. Your 3 kids and working out of town is your problem not mine. We each are in control of our own destiny, you decided to have 3 kids I didn’t do it for ya. We all aren’t computer savvy is my beef. You want a video I’ll send it to you via email or text I shouldn’t have to share it through I cloud, google whatever I don’t have it. I don’t need to do a daily journal, you can write anything in a journal doesn’t mean you did it, so it’s not relevant to the challenge easily falsified. I’m sure nobody has falsified anything in this challenge lol. Basically I could have had someone falsify it for me but I didn’t!!! I don’t roll like that.

What's wild is when someone says it's wild that people are complaining about a voluntary challenge without calling anyone out specifically, and then people double down on complaining.

The challenge has been awesome. It's helped me dial in gear, get in shape, and do some things I've never tried before. Even embrace the suck. Thanks Exo!

🍻 Here's to step ups, selfie videos, and online journals! Props to everyone still going strong.
