So ive decided to give these guys a try. Sometimes i get bored training and its nice when someone tells you to do 2 hours of zone2 training vs just doing it.

Ive always done CrossFit and was very good anerobically/ strength. The older I get, the more I realize for what we do as a sport low and slow is best with a couple phases to prep for season such as rucking/ muscular endurance.

If these guys are god enough to take a guy in nyc and build him up to climb Everest id like to see what they fan do for me.

Ill post my base line numbers/ ht/ bw/ some strength metrics. Maybe this will help someone else bored or wanting to actually be close to mtn shape find a plan.

Not to knock the few mainstream platforms out but the CrossFit style training really doesn't translate well for the bulk training.

Please do - interested in these - I follow the books and podcast, have done some plans through uphill athlete with modifications, interested to see how this plays out for you!

Right on! I'm on week 7 of the 41 week military plan, just trusting the process and doing whatever the program tells me which is nice

I ran in the spring and did a half marathon in June. Then, I started a 12 week custom plan from Evoke. Right now, I'm in week 7.

I can feel improvements. For example, i was portaging a canoe in June, right at the end of my half marathon training. I just portaged a canoe again last week. It was noticeably easier now.

I am just starting the muscular endurance workouts. They seem quite interesting.

And I agree that it is nice to know what to do each day...
