Traditionally I've ran a stiff sole PU boot like the Lowa Tibet and Crispi Nevada, but am trying to figure out if a more comfortable and flexible EVA sole would be better for me. The Nevadas are comfortable for me, have no hot spots, and have carried me long distances with heavy loads, but they are also heavy. I have a more narrow heel with wider forefoot. I mostly backpack hunt and often will pack in 5-10 miles depending on where we are hunting. Is there a balance between comfort and support? I definitely spend more time hunting with a light pack from a base camp, but also need to have boots that will carry my 50 pound pack in and hopefully boned out deer out. Thoughts?
