Transitioning to Lighter Boots

I'm looking to step down to lighter and more flexible boots, but I'm aware that going full barefoot-style is probably going to give me all kinds of injuries. Currently I wear Asolo Fugitive GTXs, which I love, but are very heavy and stiff. Anyone have a good recommendation for a somewhat lighter boot that isn't barefoot/zero drop/ultralight?

Danner Pronghorns, Altra Lone Peak hikers, Solomon Quests.

FWIW, I usually backpack in trail runners and I am a notoriously heavy packer, not sure why one couldn't also elk hunt in them. I might try it myself for a day or two this year.

I usually wear Zamberlan Lynx but have a sweaty foot so in the early archery Elk season I wear Nike Combat boots. Super light and really comfortable.

I have gone to barefoot style, Vivo for now but looking into a waterproof pair hopefully soon!

I bought a pair of soloman quests and I really like them. The renegades are popular too.

Anyone got their hands on a pair of the lapponia Lite? Seems like a good light weight option

This is a great compromise when looking for support and protection with the feel of more freedom... If you have any questions please respond and I'll do my best to help..

Thanks

Last year I went lite with the Zamberlin salathe boots. They were expensive but I liked them for September backpacking hunt.
