When you lift a simmering/boiling skull out of the pot, DON'T dump the entire brain case of hot water on your foot. Protip #2, Crocs don't offer much protection from boiling water.

As a fellow croc addict, that’s brutal! I had yet to find a fault with crocs. They need a waterproof pair.

I could hardly work for a solid week then only minimal stuff for another 2 weeks. Not fun as a commercial butcher and taxidermist. I still have a lot of painful nerve damage in that finger and it flares up from time to time. What’s funny was how much of that finger actually grew back! They were going to lop some more off but the specialist thought it would heal over and grow back a lot of tissue. Pics show right after up to about 3 weeks in the healing process.

Foot is all healed up, but a footnote to the story is that Protip #3 is not to place that same euro mount too close to the edge of a table.
