Yeah, a gas saw with 3/8 chain is the real ticket
If gas was an option I’d go Husky 460 or Stihl CC comparable

I have the larger M18 Milwaukee saw.... along with too many other gas powered saws of all sizes. For quick trail cutting, and smaller jobs, the Milwaukee saw does great! I keep it in the SXS and have used it on several occasions. Good Luck!
