Ok. That what I do on whitetail. Thought some said to always shoot elk between front legs on quartering shots.I’d scoot it back a tad, aim for the middle of the offside shoulder.
I am with this. I like poking it through both lungs and no shoulder. It’s also more centered in the vitals for error front and back.I've ruined too many shoulders, I'm shooting here with a rifle.
Did one of those hit the far side shoulder? Just curious to see the impact from the shots. Great bull!Put two in that exact spot. Jellied the heart. 6.5prc with 140gr tipped fusion.
