The Redding Chapter of the California Deer Association is selling raffle tickets for an elk hunt on one of the premier ranches in the nation for trophy bulls. Tickets are $100 each and a maximum of 500 will be sold. All profits from the selling of these tickets goes towards benefitting deer through habitat restoration projects in California. If you search for the Winecup Gamble Ranch on Facebook, there are a number of photos of elk that have been taken on the ranch. They also have a website describing both the ranch operations as well as the hunting opportunities on the ranch. The ranch and surrounding area is known for bulls in the high 300’s to low 400’s.
