Elk Etiquette; Does it Exist?

I've said it once I say it 1000x, I would rather hunt the most marginal habitat than deal with people.

I firmly believe in the 90-10 rule: 90% of the problems are created by 10% of the people. And most of the people I meet out on trails or parks fit into that pattern, but I would still rather never see or hear or smell another human (outside of my own party) when I am out hiking or hunting.

My worst encounters have been with non-hunters and landowners. Usually the guys out there working to do the same thing I'm doing are on the same page as me.
My actual worst encounters have been with some outfitters. They've tried to bully us out of a camping spot and a hunting area. Tried to call us into the forest service for bogus, made up stuff. They also purposely ran me and my horse off the trail when we met head-on.
