Elk camp Bourbon

What celebratory bourbon does everyone bring to camp to sip on after you've harvested your trophy.

I typically bring Makers mark to make whiskey butter for the heart. (camp tradition)
One guy in our group typically brings a bottle of Blanton's.
I’m a crown royal guy, but if it must be bourbon I agree with your friend on the Blanton’s.

For a cheaper Bourbon I like 4 Roses. More Expensive? Hibiki Suntory Whiskey is nice.

I like a good Whistle Pig 10yr barrel pick, Stagg Jr, EH Straight Rye, or Weller 12. Can't go wrong with any of those when celebrating a big hunt!

Wild Turkey Long Branch is my go to. But I’m not too good for some Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey. Honestly, I’m ready to get the meat out have an ice cold beer or 10 at the truck.

Perfect fit within 3 weeks of food

I really like Blantons but have Evan Williams 1783 around most of the time. Its cheap but I really enjoy it.

Crown suffices for a “kill shot” but for bourbon, I’m a big fan of Michter’s small batch.

Gotta be Kentucky bourbon for us. Makers Mark normally makes it to camp and then leaves empty. Elk or not. Use Blantons for the final celebration.

Most recent bottle of 18yr Elijah Craig is very tasty. Woodford Double Double Oaked is very good too, and usually found available on the upper shelf of most decent liquor stores.
