Electric chainsaw

Little dewalt leaks or drains is more accurate but you can fix it with some gasket sealer. Bit of a chore but I think the saw cost me 70 bucks and I have plenty of batteries

I bought the Stihl professional grade one and it’s amazing. I wouldn’t use it for a big job but for something to keep in my side by side and do quick jobs it’s amazing. It cuts like a gas saw, on average size jobs and keeping in mind the bar, it is quick, quiet and lightweight. I did some jobs with it that would have exhausted me had I had a gas saw. Biggest drawback is the price of the battery, must have solid gold components.

Have an EGO and Milwaukee M18. Prefer the Milwaukee if it’s quick clean up (down tree). EGO will definitely run longer and is better for a larger job.

If you have 2-3 Forge M18 12ah batteries already I’d say go Milwaukee. Otherwise get a Stihl and have a real saw for all day.

I have the Milwaukee and its been great. It leaks oil but its nice not scaring everything in the area to cut a fallen tree. I want to get the top handle version in the future just to have a smaller footprint in the truck bed.

I will say, I’ve had dudes felling trees for hours and bulls bugling in the same drainage so I don’t think it really affects them that much

First one was a Craftsman 20v, 12"(?). Works good, handy for camping, around the farm, etc. Zero complaints for the price.
Second is a 20" Masterforce 80v from Menards. Surprisingly good saw. Powerful and cuts a bunch of wood on a charge. Rips through 18" oak. Great for quick jobs around the farm and campfire wood.
Not a main saw for firewood (furnace) cutting but it tags along a competant backup to the MS361.
If the 024AV weren't so sentimental it would be sold, replaced by the 80v.

I haven’t watched the Project Farm reviews, but I know a guy happy with his Milwaukee. Although the conversation was a few years ago, he said it had more rpm than others. So, at some point, longer run time for one brand doesn’t mean much, if it has less total rpm than the shorter run time brand.

I went with Milwaukee top handle saw with the box case and a couple M18 batteries. It compliments the roadside kit I put together with a M18 impact wrench in a pack out box. It all stays in the truck box.
